How To Sew on Crochet Applique
Learn how to attach your crochet applique to your project. All you need is a yarn needle. No sewing skills required! When I make the applique, I cut the ending tail extra long and use it to attach the applique. I do NOT weave it in to the applique first, it will be weaved in after it is attached to your project.
Thread the long tail onto a yarn needle and use it to stitch your applique to your project. There's really no wrong way to do it. You can stitch all the way around the outside of the applique or you can add a random stitch here and there. As long as the stitches are going in the same direction as the applique stitches, it should be practically invisible.
Watch my video below for more details and a demonstration.
Once the applique is attached and secured, weave in the yarn end behind it back and forth a few times to make sure it won't come loose. You can even tie a knot or use some fabric glue if you think you need extra hold, depending on what your project is or who it is for.
